NRPI is mainly engaged in the development of rubber sealing products, special rubber p-roducts, substances for specialized purpose, novel rubber assistants synthesizing, polyurethane (PU) products.

NRPI also provided other services including rubber physical properties testing, chemical analysis, natural aging of rubber material and products, artificial accelerated aging, stor-age life calculation of rubber stocks, technical information, standardization, computer ai-ded design (CAD) and computer aided manufacturing (CAM).

NRPI has a capacity of producing 7,500 tons of different stocks and pellets, 1,200 tons of various plate, profile, hose and 50M pieces of seals each year. Selling income growth ra-te is of 20% annually.

2. Achievements in research & development
All kind of high technical, high quality rubber goods and special materials were develop-ed to meet the needs in petroleum, chemical, automobile, mechanical, electronic, coal, medical, textile and architectural indust-ries.

Domestically, NRPI has taken a leading role in special rubber (including fluoro-rubber, sili-cone, EPDM, ACM, NBR, CR, IIR etc.) compounding and applications, along with the study of rubber aging process.

NRPI has under taken research of rubber products for the key projects and "863" project in the sixth Five-Year Plan to the ninth Five-Year Plan of nation development, Up to now, plentiful fruits have been gained in scientific research, including more than 1000 achieve-ments, 538 significant achievements, in which 65 items have got national, ministerial and provincial awards, 10 items fill in the gaps in the fields of science and technology in nati-on, 22 items take a leading role domestically.
